Tips for Betting On the NFL Playoffs

If you want to bet on the NFL playoffs then you’re going to need to know what to look for before the games. You can’t go into the NFL playoffs and just bet on the favourites because the playoffs are often full of underdogs making a run. You also need to look at certain factors that you otherwise wouldn’t during the regular season of the NFL. We’re going to walk you through some tips that will help you prepare for the NFL playoffs this year.

  • One of the first things that you want to take into consideration is the team with the home field advantage. The home field advantage can come into play during the NFL playoffs because the players will be playing where they feel comfortable. In big games such as the NFL playoffs I would rather be betting on a team that is comfortable where they’re playing then on a team that isn’t. Also consider factors such as what the field is made of and what the weather is going to be like.
  • Always look at how the teams have performed against each other in the recent past because this can help you find out what team should win. Certain teams just have other team’s numbers and you want to make sure you find out whether this is true for the game you’re betting on. Some players also seem to play better against certain teams and this can be because their playing in their hometown or because they were traded from the team in the past.
  • The QB’s and RB’s are always very important players in the NFL, but in the playoffs this becomes even more important. You want to look at stats of both the QB’s and RB’s to find out how each of them have been performing near the end of the season. If any of the players are cold then make sure you’re very careful betting on the team because these two positions are important in the playoffs.
  • Another factor that you need to consider when betting on the NFL playoffs is how much experience each of the team’s have in the playoffs. If one of the teams doesn’t have any experience in the playoffs then this can become a huge factor in the game. Often teams that have been to the playoffs know how to prepare better for the big games and therefore the experienced teams often come out on top.
  • Injuries are huge in football and if one of the team’s superstar players is injured then it could mean the end of their playoff run. Make sure you stay up to date with any injuries around playoff time because you don’t want to be surprised at kick-off and find out that your leading WR is out for the game due to an injury. Also consider any suspensions that players need to serve although this isn’t as important as looking at the injuries because rarely are players suspended in the playoffs, although it does happen.
